Meditations to Maintain Holiday Cheer
Due to travel and interactions that are outside of oneās standard routine, the holiday season can be stressful for everyone - even if all the interactions are pleasant, the changes and traveling can have an impact on the mind, body, and spirit. This is why Iāve put together a collection of meditations to help you navigate the holidays or any day.
When and Where Should You Meditate?
Meditations donāt have to be a big production. Just find a place where you can concentrate and focus. There have been many times when I started a meditation in my car and even in a storage closet at work. For the holiday season, you just need a place where you wonāt be disturbed. The timing is up to you. If you want to make a regular routine of meditation, tap in and ask yourself if you will be more focused in the morning, just before bed, or another part of the day. If you are trying to fix an issue, meditate as soon as you can.

Guided Grouding Meditation by Tracey Owens
Fun fact. I uploaded this meditation to Soundcloud for Tracey Owens over 10 years ago. Tracey was one of my first mentors and is a phenomenal healer. Her meditations were always so powerful, and one day I said, āMore people need to hear this. Letās record it and put it online.ā This is a great meditation for when you feel anxious, agitated, and disconnected from your body. Use this to reground
Meditations For Healing
If you had a Reiki session with me and I mentioned meditations based on a specific chakra, I was referring to the meditations below. I have done a tremendous amount of healing and spiritual elevation through working with the following 7 meditations. They are approximately 30 minutes long and include three sections of the meditation, so that you wonāt be doing the same thing for 30 minutes straight.
I recently came across a Diary of a CEO interview with psychiatrist, Dr. K, where he discusses intuition, but most importantly, how Chakra meditations are used to support people with serious mental health concerns, including depression and addiction, as well as improving intuition. He also mentions more clinical studies currently happening with chakra meditations and mental health. This is great because I have always known how helpful chakra meditations have been for myself, my family, and my clients, and Iām happy more people are waking up to what the people of South East Asia have known for thousands of years.

In all seriousness, the last two meditations have helped me in some tough times, when I didnāt have a lot of time. My go-to meditation when Iām feeling anxious is the first meditation. When Iām feeling sad or melancholy, I use Somatic Regulation as a way to neutralize my emotions. However, if it is still not an option, a very carefully chosen seed mantra meditation gets me where I need to be. I have many more that I use for different reasons, even for reprogramming my subconscious during my sleep. Please share your favorite meditations and let the community know why they are your favorite meditations.
I hope you all have a peaceful holiday season. In the wellness industry, we often see an increase in tense muscles and misaligned chakras during these times. Donāt be a stranger.
